Planning a visit to ISKCON Temple

The one temple in Bhubaneswar that is busier than it is old. Built between 1975 and 1991 and open to absolutely everyone, it worships the same Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra as the great temple at Puri — which makes it the place international visitors can actually experience that tradition rather than read about it. Go for the evening aarti; the rest of the day it is a much quieter building.

The sanctum closes in the middle of the day — darshan runs 4:00 AM to 12:45 PM and 4:15 PM to 8:30 PM. An early-afternoon visit will find it shut.
